Plight
Hey, my plan is to get you in line.
It sound's hard,
but I'll try.
Your wrongs and rights are mixed up this time.
I want to help
you get right.
I can't give up on you just yet and decide
that I'll leave
and you'll remain behind.
This is the difference between you and I:
who can see, and who pretends to be blind.
You can't put up walls forever and hide
because there's always punishment for your kind.
Hey, I'm planning on leaving tonight.
And I know
that you'll mind.
But sticking with you has become a crime
in my mind.
I'm not fine
because you put me through an up and down ride.
First you hug,
then you strike.
This is the difference between you and I:
who lies, and who cries.
Could you stop stalling and make up your mind?
Stay wrong or get right.
I don't know how I came to lead this life
with a person who seems eager to fight
all the time.
Could you please just try and take my advice.
You're so stubborn, I can't penetrate your mind--
all else aside.
I'm breaking down and it seems to be your delight.
This can't escalate to a greater height,
so this stops tonight.
This is the difference between you and I:
who's gone, and who's been left behind.
I'm not sorry if I've hurt your self pride
because you did damage to mine.
Wow this is intense. It can have different meanings, and it seems a bit angry! But I like it.
like it. thanks
Nice work. Definately can have different meanings. To me it reminds me of a relationship I once had with a girl a long time ago. I don't really have anything to advise here. I'm not a poet, but I ound it to be good.
